Divertimenti Ensemble

There is no reason to assume that outstanding chamber music performances in the London area should be confined to Wigmore Hall, Kings Place or the Purcell Room… Divertimenti provided some of the most memorable music-making that I have heard for a long while… full of insight and understanding… Technically it was virtually note-perfect:. beautifully thought out and eloquently shaped …This playing had the grace and authentic period expression that could equally well have come from one of the great Austrian ensembles. An exceptional performance. (Anthony Hodgson,

Schubert String Quintet in C

What better way to open the eightieth anniversary season of Uckfield Music  Club  than with a performance of one of the  sublime peaks of the chamber music repertoire- played by this  outstanding quintet. An added treat will be the work that this ensemble commissioned from one of our foremost modern British composers, Sally Beamish-  and which is  named after them! Plus the delightful Boccherini quintet.
